DRD CDR15 Pistol

DRD Pistol

DRD Tactical announced the release of the new CDR15 pistol. Similar to the company’s Brief Case Rifle line, the CDR15 pistols use a rapid take-down barrel design.

The CDR15 pistol will be available in either 5.56 NATO or 300 BLK. Barrel lengths are 10.5″ or 11.5″. All guns come with a quad-rail hand guard. Uppers and lowers are machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum.

DRD Pistol kit

DRD Tactical will also sell build kits to shooters who want to assemble a pistol on their own lower.

MSRP is $995 – $1,150 depending on options.

Oh, so they created an AR pistol with the Dolos-like system that is built with parts I don’t care about? Congrats.

  • sianmink

That’s a funny looking lower. What’s going on at the back end there?
The A2 grip is not a choice I would make for a pistol.

  • echelon

You’re charging me a grand and you’re giving me an A2 grip and no Sig Brace? Get outta here…

    • Sam Schifo

At this point I don’t know why any new AR-15 ships with an A2 grip. It is by far the worst AR grip design; for a few dollars more they could throw in a Hogue grip.

And for the money I’d take the arm brace over the takedown feature any day…I mean it’s already a “pistol” so…

    Why???

  • SNNNN

Sig Brace included or no sale… Why one is not on there is … puzzling.

Lower receiver looks like a dolphin.

Most AR pistols easily fit in a briefcase by removing the upper from the lower. There’s no need for a removable barrel unless the barrel is over 12″.
