It’s fun rediscovering something interesting that you didn’t know existed. Here is the Pachmayr Dominator. It was a conversion kit for 1911 pistols. You remove the slide off your 1911 and replace it with a new barrel and bolt action. Oh and it is chambered in .308. It is a bolt action and due to the size of the round, the Dominator is a single shot pistol.

As you can imagine, shooting this must not be comfortable.
