SilencerCo’s Shorter 5.56 Suppressors

SilencerCo

SilencerCo announced two new, shorter versions of existing model sound suppressors: the Saker K 556 and the Specwar K 556. Originally developed to meet a military specification regarding length, the company is now selling them to civilians.

According to the company, testing with M855 ammo through barrels of 11″ – 16″ resulted in sound attenuation down to a range of 137-140 dB. The company states the suppressors have been successfully tested with full-auto fire in barrels as short as 7″ in length.

The Saker K 556 is 5.8″ long and weighs 14.7 ounces. The Specwar K 556 is 6.2″ long and weighs 13.7 ounces.

Perfect for my AR pistol. Now I just need to hop across state lines to a place that lets it’s citizens own cans.

Now all you need is some subsonic 100 grain tungsten cored rounds to go with it 😉

Meh. Get the government out of suppressor sales and then we can talk…

What about a reflex design? Saves length without sacrificing volume.

The T8 Scout extends the muzzle by 10 cm and goes 20 cm behind it.
