Ruger has just launched a new product to distributors today and is now offering consumers a limited time chance to win this new model (the “New Unannounced Product”) and receive it on September 8th, the exact day it will be revealed to consumers and available in stores.

From just 5:00 p.m. ET on September 2nd to 9:00 a.m. ET on September 4th, participants may enter this “New Unannounced Product” Flash Sweepstakes online at: Ruger.com/NewProductSweeps (where you will also be presented with the official rules).

The winner will be drawn after the Flash Sweepstakes closes on September 4th. Ruger will announce this winner on September 5 and have the new model waiting at the winner’s preferred firearms retailer on Monday, September 8th, the same day the product will be launched to consumers.

Good luck!

Im guessing it will be some sort of pump shotgun. Eta, more than likely it will be a pistol, but its a American rimfire takedown, I will buy the shit out of that

    • Thracian Beast

If it was .44 or .357 Id be all over it. 77/44 American. Hmmmm

  • Max Scholz

I really want it to be a relaunch of the PC9 or PC40.

    • Asdf

      I would buy a new PC9 in a heartbeat.

    • Anon. E Maus

      As would I.
Maybe one that’s ready for Glock mags out of the box, oh my that would be beautiful!

  • J.T.

“The Sweepstakes is open and offered only to legal residents of the USA who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry”

    Handgun possibly?

    • An Interested Person

      I would say almost certainly.

    • Fred Johnson

      AR Pistol?

      • tdogz

“The Grand Prize has an Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of $800-$1,200.”
I’d say AR pistol is a good bet.

        • Fred Johnson

I guess Ruger would keep it piston driven, then?

        • Mark N.

They charge almost $1500 for just an upper, how could they sell a pistol for under $1200? It would have to be DI, not piston, and that seems unlikely given that the rest of their line is all piston.

          • Fred Johnson

Good point. Even their SR556E lists for $1375.00.

I doubt they would go off into a DI AR gun to lower the price.

      • With a Sig brace.

  • Michigunner

my money is on a new SR45C

  • VaMtns

Semi Auto shotgun that would fit in the 800-1200 MSRP
Been rumored to be in development for a while
with fall hunting season beginning the timing is right
AR sales are slow and the AR pistol is somewhat of a niche product

    • Fred Johnson

Would they bring out a hunting version and a “tactical” version, too?

As long as they keep off the Duck Dynasty branding, a new shotgun would be nice.

      • Zachary marrs

        Duck dynasty is mossberg

        • Fred Johnson

          So far.

Watch out, Duck Dynasty marketing spreads like a virus.

          • Zachary marrs

Their duck calls aren’t half bad.

    • Quaggenbus

Saying AR sales are slow is because it’s already a quality product, went through high demand periods, and is reliable. Everything Americans demand from a good product.

  • Aar0nC

What ever it is, I’ll take it! Free new gun is always welcome to my safe!

  • Rivermystery

I wish the would finally produce my idea of reworking the Deerfield into a 357 that runs off of scaled up 10/22 banana mag

  • Dal10

It’s definitely a semi auto shotgun.
    1. Fits $800 – $1200 Range
    2. Timing with hunting season starting
    3. It’s not a handgun, I must be able to pick it up sept 8th and take a pic.
    4. It’s not a handgun, Otherwise CA residents would be excluded (they are not), Ruger doesn’t have ANY handguns on CA approved list at this point
    5. Semi-Autos are missing from Rugers fairly complete lineup…

    • Fred Johnson

Well, there is this little detail from the Rules of the Ruger Sweepstakes:

“If the Grand Prize winner is unable to complete the firearm transfer
because the firearm is not legally available for transfer or sale in his
or her state or locale, the Grand Prize winner may select a substitute
firearm that is of equal or lesser value. Substitute prizes are subject
to availability and Sponsor makes no claims or representations that any
particular substitute selected by the Grand Prize winner will be
available. Any substitute prize must be legally available for sale in
the Grand Prize winner’s state and locale.”

    • Mark N.

Actually Ruger has two pistols and a bunch of revolvers on the roster. I must also assume that when they mean “pick up” the firearm it means go in and fill out the 4473 and the DROS, otherwise California residents would be disqualified by the ten day wait.

  • Rusty Shackleford

    1. SR45c
    2. SR556 pistol (hopefully with a Sig brace)
    3. Semi-auto 12ga.
    Either way, I’ll take one.

  • Todd

It says 21 and over, so it’s most likely a handgun.

    • Laserbait

OR a decoy to confuse and obfuscate!

  • Jason Villarreal
    • Mark N.

I think you are on to something–they have all the other bases covered, and the REd Label O/U is about $1800.

  • John Bear Ross

I would like a Redhawk or Super Redhawk in .357 Magnum, with an eight-shot cylinder.

    Best,
    JBR

    • Thracian Beast

Me too!!! They make a Super Redhawk in .357 for the UK market it has like a 14in barrel. Ill just take a 6 shot if I could find a 7.5in redhawk for under a grand here.

    • Turner

Yes! TALO has a beautiful Redhawk special addition out right now that I wish they would make an 8 shot .357 mag version of. It would be an awesome trail gun or bedside table gun.

Here is the Redhawk I’m talking about:

      http://www.gunblast.com/Ruger-RedhawkTALO.htm

  • Thracian Beast

YES the 1st Ruger AK-47 Pistol with Ruger casting technology, only available in 6.8 RUGER , with a Ruger brand arm stabilizing brace!! Tell me IM wrong?

    FOOL!

  • Fred Johnson

Now, just to wait on the Firearm Blog to announce that the gun in question is a magazine fed bolt gun. 😀

    • Don’t Drone Me Bro

I mean who’d have thought they’d introduce a 5.56 bolt gun that uses non-AR mags and be the same price as the .308 Scout. Insane.

  • Rick

I’m still hoping for a takedown version of the American Rimfire bolt action rifle

  • Doom

Was it the stupid ruger scout in 5.56?

  • usmcmailman

Just a little late boys. It’s already the 9th of Sept. !

  • AmericanIcon

Today is September 9th. Nice of you to publish a sweepstakes that ENDED ON THE 4th.

  • lockwood

    how bout a mp5 that takes the 10/22 action/barrel

  • lockwood

    mp5 chassis
