Raven Concealment TopStop AR Upper Receiver Cover

Raven Concealment is currently marketing a rather nifty cover for detached AR-style weapon upper receivers. The “TopStop AR Cover” is designed to be mounted to a dis-mounted AR upper (with or without BCG) and keep everything contained during transportation or storage.

The TopStop snaps into place and seals the upper receiver from dirt, debris, and other fouling. It is manufactured from robust polymers and Raven claims that it is “impervious to most solvents and chemicals.”

The TopStop cover is available in Black, Ranger Green, and Hi-Vis Yellow for $9.99 on Raven Concealment’s website.

My take? I need one for each of my Sporting Rifle uppers. Now to go find $110… (I know, I know. I need a few more uppers!)

Makes sense to me and the price isnt too ridiculous (for a piece of plastic).

    • USMC03Vet

Sub $10 MOA is very appealing indeed. Now I just need a AR upper…

  • Källberg

Put a magpul logo on this and it retails for 89.99

  • gunslinger

    that’s a neat little thing.

  • PPGMD

Not really new. I have three covers from another company that I got a couple of years ago.

    • PPGMD

I found it, it is made by Black Dog Machine and costs $3.50 each. Or more for a bit of a lower price each. Of course they make it in just one color.

      • Stephen

Two colors, yellow and black. 😉

      • Fred Johnson

Pretty nice. I do like how that new Raven model doesn’t need “take down” pins to hold it in place. Theoretically, anyway.

        • PPGMD

For nearly a third of the price you might be willing to deal with the pins. Particularly if you need a whole bunch of them.

For example the dozen that Nathan needs would be $42 at Black Dog Machine.

About the only thing that might get me to get a couple of the Ravens, would be that it appears that it might be designed to strip it off the gun quick, for example for guns in take down bags.

          • Fred Johnson

Yep, I thinking take down bag usage, too.

What about a cover for the lower to keep the dust bunnies away?

  • dan citizen

So much better than plastic wrap and duct tape.

  • Scott Clark

I like it. I have 2 of their products already so I know it will be top quality, and fit like a glove. (not OJ’s glove)

  • I have one of these and am very impressed with it. If I had need for more I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them from Raven Concealment.

Been using the top stop for about a year now. Really awesome and works like a charm. I did have to break one of them in a little, but it definitely is a necessity if you travel with your AR broken down.

  • Jaggedx

I have two of them. I had to put the Dremel to them a bit so they would fit snug in my Seekins uppers. Nice piece of kit though.
