New Daniel Defense Rifles with KeyMod Handguard

Daniel Defense announced new DDM4 V11 rifles with a KeyMod handguard. The rifles use the company’s new SLiM RAIL, a 15″ handguard with a Picatinny rail on top and KeyMod attachment points along the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. Like many of the existing KeyMod handguards, the SLiM RAIL is supposed to be lightweight and thin while providing excellent airflow around the barrel.

Dang. $1600 AR15 and they don’t even throw in the iron sights.

I love me some iron sights.

I’m glad I bought mine before they made all these changes.

About time that DD moved away from the old cheese grater handguards.

I like mine, I just put on some rail ladder covers and it was fine along with an AFG2.

Slick rail on mine. It’s lovely.

Check out the v7. I’m not a huge fan of it but it’s been around awhile and it isn’t a cheese grater. 🙂

Really wish they would release a 308 version of that rail in a 15″ length.

I see a lot more people going for the Keymod rail system, but I feel more partial to the M-Lok. Haven’t had the opportunity yet to try either, my plebeian will have to stick with the old Picatinny rail.

Would like this rail on the dd mk12 upper. I know it’s not a real mk12, I already have both mk12 mod 0 and 1 uppers.
