I have blogged this photo before but when the photographer, Mr. Charlie Taylor, submitted it to POTD I could not resist publishing it again. He calls it “Corporate Warrior”. The portrait is of Mike Mers in his trademark sweater vest. It is one of a series of portraits Charlie took of Advanced Armament Corporation employees.

Submit photos you have taken to TFB’s Photo Of The Day.

Too bad they all got fired! Thanks Remcerefreedomgroup-ington!!!

    • floppyscience

Well at least they still have jobs until February.

      • Thracian Beast

Yes Sir! I never liked this guy (Vesty pants sales boy) since I met him at the 2010 SHOT in booth and after hrs “strip club show thing with midgets ” < so what my problem. The reality is, if this is an example of "Corporate Warrior" God help us all. You can sell snow to Eskimos but the shit melts eventually.

          Case in point

Mother of god…some of us have to sleep, you know,

If you fall asleep, they will get you

          • Boots

Oh Damn. Can’t sleep damn it.

  • Cymond

Strange that he doesn’t have a suppressor …
Also, I’m surprised to see POTD updating even on the weekends.

    • USMC03Vet

      Gotta feed the beast!

    • Charlie Taylor

IIRC (this was taken four years ago) at the time Mike didn’t have any personally owned pistol suppressors, this shoot was at a non-work location and not directly work related so using company owned property was a no go.

    • We have had a lot of good POTD submissions. While they keep coming, I will blog them on the weekend 🙂

I love the screen cleaning cloth! What’s in the black case? A Mophie?

    • dave

Looks like a revision eyepro case

      • Charlie Taylor

Yup it’s a revision eye pro case. The microfiber cloth is probably there to clean said shooting glasses. I hadn’t actually noticed it before now!

  • Do you know who else wears a pretty attractive sweater? Carnik-Con!

  • Nicks87

I would like to see more well dressed firearms enthusiasts. Too many people out at the range dressed like Larry the cable guy or some gangsta thug.

I like it. It reminds me of the old “I’m the NRA” ads. In some areas, people expect all gun owners to constantly wear old BDUs and reflective sunglasses. It helps to show them a cleaner image. I’m a lawyer who carries an RMR’ed G19 everywhere. Few people suspect such hardware to be hiding beneath a well-tailored suit. I’ve never tried to combine the war belt with my daily attire, though.

Glad to see the photo. But, I just have to say that his grip on his magazine is somewhat unconventional.

He reminds of the actor Stephen Rea that always plays these creepy, quiet, nefarious characters.
