KRISS Vector M4 Stock Adapter

KRISS recently debuted on their Facebook page their new M4 stock adapter for their KRISS Vector chambered in .45ACP. Their new adapter allows you to use an AR-15 buffer tube and whatever AR stock you like. However unlike the stocks that come with their carbines and SBRs, the new adapter is non-folding even though at appears to have a hinge and locking clip in the picture below. The picture above shows their new adapter being used with a Magpul STR Stock.

I think the best use of the new M4 stock adapter is pairing a KRISS Vector Pistol up with the popular Sig SB15 Pistol Stabilizing Brace, which a fellow gun blogger at GunMartBlog brought up a few months back. The folks over at Solar Tactical already did and posted it over on their Facebook page, and it looks pretty bad ass. KRISS is now selling them and they’re available directly from KRISS over at They retail for $59.95.

I will take the 1911 45 thank you.

    • iksnilol

The doublestacks are good otherwise for .45 ACP I prefer the Thompson. Kinda hard to get though.

      • Not to mention super expensive.

        • supergun

The 1911. A classic. Simple and Sweet. Gets the job done if you know what you are doing. If you don’t, then a KRISS won’t help you.

Why does it fold towards the ejection side? So the operator is required to unfold it to shoot?

    • hydepark

The original versions of the side folder had a profile cut for the ejection port.

      • ClintTorres

But still, why on the ejection port side? So right-handed operators can transition to shoulder-fire more easily? Inquiring minds want to know.

I’m not sure. When I get home I’ll have to look at how far back the charging handle goes when it’s in the rear most position. That’s all I can guess at.

And for anyone who’s interested I was able to call the number on Kriss’s site and order one of the adapters. I think the total was around $74 shipped.

  • hydepark

For some reason I can’t find the adapter on the site. Any chance someone could post a direct link? Thanks. Great pictures too.

The KRISS USA online store is down at the moment, but you can call us directly to place an order over the phone. You can also contact your local KRISS Dealer to order them for you as well.

Thanks. The person I got ahold of was super friendly as always. Did Kriss ever have the chance to send off a document to the BATFE verifying the Sig brace’s kosher status? I’m not too worried but it would be nice to have just in case. If not maybe I can do it.

    When In Doubt, M4-it out.

  • Cymond

It looks like a hinge and a latch because that’s what the rear of the KRISS is designed to accept. However, it doesn’t look like the adapter has any way of actually moving the latch. It’s all just one solid piece with no moving parts.

Kriss Vector: the only firearm that even a M4 stock cannot make uglier.

    • It damn sure works well though.

Maybe I have a questionable sense of aesthetics,
but the first time I ever saw a Glock I fell in love with it.
That’s what sparked my interest in firearms.

I have to say the more I see the Vector and the more I read about it,
the more I feel the same as with the Glock.
I very much appreciate a finely made SxS shotgun or a Mauser, but this sort of “uglyness” also has its place in my heart.
IMO the best looking shapes come from the function of something.
The Glock and the Vector are also prime examples of aesthetic appeal by function.
The evolution of engineering, if you will.
That’s not to say KRISS don’t have bloody good designers though.

One of these days, I will understand the kriss vector, one of these days….

Is there a web site that shows how to install the M4 adapter on a kriss pistol?
