Ergo Grip’s Delta Grip

delta grip

One of the more interesting things I saw at this year’s SHOT Show was the Delta Grip.  Made by Ergo Grip, the Delta is a wedge shaped grip for small frame revolvers that fills the hand and gives the shooter a high grip on the gun.  It is odd looking, but it felt surprisingly good in the hand.

Ergo Grip expected to ship the Delta in the first half of the year, which they did.  The grip is in full production and can be had for the J-frame Smith & Wesson revolver.  The Delta Grip retails for $19.99.

Phil had a chance to handle the Delta Grip at the 2014 SHOT Show.  Read his thoughts here.

It does make sense and seems to make the recoil easier to deal with but damn… It’s sooooo fugly. I’m sure it makes hiding the gun harder too.

    Yuck

    • gunslinger

      eye bleach!

      • Zachary marrs

        It doesn’t help…..

        • dan citizen

use real bleach for your eyes, less repeat problems

  • shoremaster23

Looks like one of my wife’s butt plugs.

    • Zachary marrs

      Uuuhhh…. ok?

      • Hey I said it was fugly when I first wrote this up. But man it sure works and feels good!

        • Zachary marrs

Does it work with most holsters?
But it can’t be said enough times; this is a mortal abomination to revolvers everywhere. God help us if they make one for the judge

      Multipurpose?

      Yes… your wife’s…

    • dan citizen

damn, that reminds me, I have to call my mom.

  • iksnilol

Reminds me of the straight/semi-pistol grips that sawn off shotguns have. Should make it easy to deal with recoil since it isn’t going straight through your wrist.

    • Brian

High on the blackstrap. Different type of high grip than one for a bottom feeder

  • barry

Nevermind that it is so ugly that no one will buy it, I thought having a high grip on a revolver will expose you to hot gasses from the cylinders. You can’t hold a revolver the same way you hold those tacticool semi autos.

  • Looks like a great concept. Just from your video, it looks like it should have rubber that goes all the way up the backstrap, to allow you hold it hire without discomfort. Perhaps add some silly putty, hot glue, or similar temporary rubber pad to see if that improves it.

Wishing them a ton of luck. Always good to see something new and innovative brought to market.

Waiting for the video using +Ps in an alloy J frame.

  • gunsandrockets

How many fingertips are going to get blown off from this thing?

    • dan citizen

      ahhhhhh, the controversial finger-in-front-of-the-muzzle-grip

      • dan citizen

OMG, I just watched the video. That guy is going to lose part of his thumb, what made him think that particular hold was wise?

  • dan citizen

this would look great on a rhino revolver
