T.Rex Arms Captain America Themed Holster

CaptainAmerica1_Fotor-1

T.Rex Arm are now making a new Captain America themed version of their Grendel holster. The company avoid using the trademarked term “Captain America”, instead naming it “The Captain”, but it is clear who the holster was inspired by.

In honor of the 4th of July we introduced “The Captain” special edition Grendel holster. Glorious in Red, White and Blue, this holster is perfect for those festive occasions requiring a show of patriotism and panache. Constructed from two layers of kydex, this holster utilizes our Ragnarok modular mounting system so it can be switched between thigh rigs, paddles, or the popular RTI system.

The Captain retails for between $160 – $220 depending on configuration. It is available for 9mm or .40 S&W Glock and S&W M&P pistols.

I am not a comic book reader, just a based-on-a-comic movie goer, but as far as I know Captain America is one of only two superheros that use firearms, the other being The Phantom (both use 1911 pistols). I am sure comic book experts will correct me in the comments if I am wrong.

Lots of comic book heroes have used guns (ie. The Lone Ranger, Union Jack, Judge Dredd, Vigilante, The Punisher, Gunfire, Hitman, Big Daddy, even some earlier versions of Captain America & Batman). There are many more as well, but most are ones that most people who aren’t into comics would have never heard of and many of them are older, from a time when guns weren’t vilified as much as they are now.

Hmmm . . . the post did specify “superheroes that use firearms” and not just “comic book heroes.” Although the distinction may not always be clear cut e.g. Batman has no super powers and is ultimately just a normal human being, albeit one very driven, clever and determined human being.
Of course Batman being DC doesn’t exist in the same (Marvel) universe as Captain America. 🙂

Of course Batman has a super power. It’s called, “I’m the goddamn Batman!”

Deadpool and the Punisher come to mind off the top of my head.

The Shadow used to long slide .45’s…

Vash the Stampede! with the MG Arm?

        wait…nvm

        • Ahh, Trigun. Not a comic book in the Western sense of the word, but still good times.

I still wish there was a company that produces a gun like his. What’s not to love about a break-action .45 Colt revolver with a 6 o’clock barrel? But, I digress!

        • Sulaco

          ????

          • gunslinger

            Look up the Trigun Anime/Manga

Batman…. Well Way way back in beginning later he dropped it although form time to time Elseworld versions do. And Black Widow Of course.

    • Dan Atwater

Batman has used guns mounted to his different vehicles many times, as well

  • Sulaco

This is just….wrong on so many levels.

  • James

Black Widow uses guns. Same movies as Cap, even. Zero from X-Men also uses firearms.

Who are we kidding? $160.00 to 220.00 for plastic! These guys are living in another dimension. I wish them all the best, but if I want a star on a holster, I will buy an existing brand and some paint from Walmart… voila! A star on my plastic holster. I am not trying to disrespect the effort, only trying to speak in the real world. Good Luck.

Best gun wielding comic book hero: Jesse Custer
