Tom is a former Navy Corpsman that spent some time bumbling around the deserts of Iraq with a Marine Recon unit, kicking in tent flaps and harassing sheep. Prior to that he was a paramedic somewhere in DFW, also doing some Executive Protection work between shifts. Now that those exciting days are behind him, he has embraced his inner “Warrior Hippie” and assaults 14er in his sandals and beard, or engages in rucking adventure challenges while consuming craft beer. To fund these adventures, he writes medical software and builds websites and mobile apps. His latest venture is as one of the founders of; a search engine for all things gun related. He hopes that his posts will help you find solid gear that will survive whatever you can throw at it–he is known (in certain circles) for his curse…ahem, ability…to find the breaking point of anything.

Thanks Tom for doing all this resurch for us.I have shared this site and information with other members of our club and they have gotten back to me with thanks because they’ve used this info for buying what they need.

Quite welcome. I think the main utility of this comes from the long term views. Now that we have 3 months of data, you can see that prices are pretty stable and consistent, and you should be able to find ammo at the average.

Thanks for all the work you have put into this. It gets more interesting every month. I agree with you that the longer term trends are really useful. I asked this when you first got started and it may be too difficult to add, but I wonder about 7.62×39 with brass casings. I am really interested in bulk with plans for reloading. If not able to include, I would love to know if you have a general idea of the best places yo start for comparison. Thanks again. Lanette

Thanks for all the work and for posting the weekly data.
It will be a very interesting read after a year because you can see season spikes. You can also map world events to charts to see if anything is moved by them. You will also be able to see what happens after mid-terms and start of the presidential season/

Welcome. That is what interests me also–seeing how our environment changes the pricing.

Can you remove re-manufactured ammo brands (LAX, Freedom, etc.)? It skews the commercially available stuff.
