Wilson Combat is now selling the new Vickers Elite Battlesight and Vickers Elite Snag Free Front Sights for the Glock line of pistols.  The rear sight, the Battlesight, has a large U-shaped notch that is designed to let the shooter find the front sight fast.  The Snag Free Front Sights are available with green or red fiber optic pipes.

From Wilson Combat on the Battlesight:

The high profile Vickers Elite Battlesight rear has a .145” wide, deep U-Notch for optimum sighting in low-light, dynamic range conditions and is a perfect match to our .125” wide front sights. The concave non-reflective rear blade is serrated 40 lines per inch, while the notch area is recessed into a semi-circular pocket for a crisp, protected sight picture. Two hardened set-screws ensure this sight will never shoot loose under the most demanding conditions.

This snag-free rear sight also has a shelf shape that enables one-hand slide cycling or malfunction clearance and a rugged, non-reflective matte black parkerized finish.

The Vickers Elite Battlesight is available with single dot Tritium and plain black serrated rear blades and your choice of black serrated, green/red fiber optic, tritium and genuine, never dulling gold bead front sight styles. The high profile of the Vickers Elite Battlesight allows the use of a taller front sight and deeper rear notch for better sight tracking during high speed shooting situations.

Once you try this sight system you will be convinced that the Vickers Elite Battlesight is the best performance upgrade you can make to your Glock® pistol!

Will this require a new kydex holster to compensate for the front sight blade height?

    • JumpIf NotZero

.245 is getting pretty high, would depend in each model. I’ve noticed lately the better kydex holster mfgs are making seems for taller sights.

I guess I’m not seeing he functional difference between this and 10-8’s rear. These are taller, and almost certainly more expensive but have about the same notch size.

Only thing that looks even remotely different is the break in serration around the notch… But if serration is there to not reflect light at me, why have a smooth surface right there!?

Best combo I’ve found yet for my Glock 19 is the Ameriglo front and the 10-8 rear in .140 or .156 rear notch, a .148 would be perfect for me. I’m not seeing any reason I’d switch to this from that.

I will stick with my Ameriglo Hackathorns.
