NRA 2014: Day 2- Nathan Forgot his Camera Battery, D’oh!

In a very poingant reminder that TFB writers are indeed human, I completely forgot my camera battery today. Outside of forgetting a pen and notepad, Its about the biggest boo-boo a reporter can make.

The HTC One does NOT take good photos. This was me trying to capture Colin Noir and Marty Daniels being interviewed. Hence the lack of further photos.

In many ways, it was a good thing; I spent over 10 hours on the show floor searching for the latest and greatest. Unlike some of the other major online publications, I have been searching for the small companies and the hidden gems of the show. Without a camera, I was free to spend time talking to people behind the products. I am constantly impressed by the gung-ho attitude of these entrepreneurs and am humbled to be writing on their wares.

Don’t worry! I will be circling back tomorrow with the battery firmly in hand (it is already packed) and getting great photos. What this does mean is that coverage will be delayed 24 hours for the big stuff and I will be posting up the other items over the next week (there is a lot!)

Until then, a sample of the companies to be covered below:
