Umm, it’s NOT a weapon light. It’s actually more of a “hands free” flashlight.

True, but it was designed for weapon manipulation. Anyone can make a wrist light, but SureFire designed this to work with handguns, the light bezel is bent at an angle so that when used on the support hand, it projects light forward. I tried wrist mounting other lights, and the problem is the hand blocks the light due to the angle your arm is at when supporting a firearm. Try it, it doesn’t work as well as the 2211.

Nicholas, your heavy lack of experience is showing…

You really should’ve spoken with someone at Surefire (like Thomas Calson in mktg) who could’ve better explained the utility and purpose of the wrist-light.

It’s not intended to replace a dedicated weapon-light… it’s meant to provide utility in the law enforcement arena and provide enough illumination at close-range to provide tactical lighting if no other is available. Surefire is the first to explain that running into a dark warehouse after a criminal and expecting the wrist-light to provide the same capability as a Scout or X-series weapon-light is simply unrealistic.

Yes, the wrist-light IS designed with proper ergonomics for weapon manipulation… but your entire premise in creating your wep-light ‘test” and accompanying blather is both flawed and extremely amateur.

Your assessment is accurate. I am not a professional nor Law Enforcement.

SureFire does promote the Trinity philosophy. A logic based marketing scheme to sell more lights.

I see the 2211 as more of a backup light. So rather than having the E1B, you can have the 2211.

Yes the 2211 is not a replacement as a weaponlight. I just did this video to show other people a comparison. And to try out my new toys.

Seems fine if you have all the time in the world, otherwise grab your wrist or grab your pistol.
