TALO’s Exclusive Ruger 10/22 Rifles

With a sufficient order, a firearm manufacturer will make a limited run of guns for a distributor.  Ruger is well-known to work with distributors to make interesting variations of guns, and the latest collaboration between TALO and Ruger is no different.

Ruger is making three new models of 10/22 rifles for TALO that use the TacStar Adaptive Tactical Stock.  The three models are essentially the same with the exception being the color of the stocks.  One is black, a second is Legends camo while the third uses the increasingly popular Kryptek Highlander camo.

All of the guns use a blued finish on the metal, have an 18.5″ barrel and weigh in at five pounds.  No MSRP is indicated.

Would have been nice if it had a threaded muzzle.

The Lipsey’s websites indicates an MSRP of $419 for the black version and $449 for the camo versions.

I’m not usually a fan of “tactical” 10/22s but those aren’t bad looking.

So they are taking a $210 gun and a $130 stock and marking it up an extra $100?

    • SD3

Sure, but unlike Obama’s hellcare plan, you’re not compelled to buy it.

  • Ryan

That stock makes the 10/22 an assault weapon in New York state. Yes..a killer military grade assault plinker. NY sucks.

    • Juice

Even if I’d live in a state with better gunlaws than NY, I’d love a ‘regular’ fixed stock of this version. I’m loving the fore-end but I hate the stock and pistol grip.

  • Mystick

    No .920 bull-barrels?

  • Dirk

Too bad a distributor doesn’t come out with a 10/22 that actually has decent sights i.e, military type peeps on it that you could actually use as a training rifle.

    • Finster

Yeah, like that guy’s rifle which is leading in the Ruger contest. That would make a sweet tactical rifle and it has a threaded barrel and decent sights.

  • LRB

Why no threaded barrel? Also, is it just me or with Multicam being worn by regular Army types is Kryptek the new cool guy camo?
