New Fab Defense Back-Up Polymer Sights

Fab Defense recently released their new polymer back-up sights. The new low-profile sights were designed specifically for the M4/M16/AR-15 rifle as well as their K.P.O.S. conversion kits (seen below), but will work with all 1913 Picatinny rails. No tools are required for windage adjustments on their rear sights as well as for elevation adjustments on their front sights.

The FBS (front) weights in at 25 grams while the RBS (rear) weights in at 30 grams, lighter than the Magpul MBUS Gen II sights. They’ll be available in black, green and tan. The FBS retails at just $34 and the RBS at $38, or you can snag both for $68. Check out for more info.

I’m in the market for a set of BUIS, and don’t want to break the bank with them (they’re for a scoped rifle and will probably never/rarely be used). These look like they might fit the bill, anyone have any firsthand experience with FAB Defense? I’m not familiar with the company, not sure what kind of rep they have.

I’ve used plenty of their stuff in the army. It’s the same thing as anyone else that uses Polymer (like Magpul, etc.). The quality is fine.

I have one of their stocks on my AR. Seems solid to me.

I’d consider these if I build out another AR easily.

Great quality bought some of their weapon accessories including the KPOS over at and was satisfied

how do these compare to Magpul’s BUIS options? $68 is a nice price, compared to what magpul puts out at around 125?

  • Yo dawg, I heard you like back-up sights so I put a back-up sight on your back-up sight so you can sight while you sight.

isnt this just MAKO by another name?

    • TangledThorns

MAKO is their official distributor here in the States.

    • Tim U

Yes and No. MAKO doesn’t make anything, they just sell it.

$68? seems waay too expensive for 2 bits of tiny injection moulded plastic…
