New 3″ Federal Vital Shok TruBall Shotgun Ammo

Federal Premium TruBall

Federal announced the introduction of two new 3″ shotgun loads in the Vital Shok line using the TruBall slugs.  One load is in 12 gauge, while the second is for the 20 gauge.  A one ounce TruBall slug is used in the 12 gauge version, while a 3/4 ounce slug is used in the 20 gauge.

The slugs are called TruBall because Federal loads them to seat a plastic ball in the bottom cavity, between the slug and wad.  According to the company, this improves accuracy, and groups as small as 1.4″ at 50 yards have been achieved.
