Gun Review: Race Glock – building bigger with Grey Poupon

It seems that no matter what you do, someone is always complaining about looks like there is a mandatory art appreciation class given to all mall ninjas to get their CCW sash. I ask Fred, “is there any way to please all the ladies?” Fred hangs outside of Walgreens, bums cigarettes from passers by and advises on life between puffs of smoke.

I started with assemlbing Marigold-1 kit, and flared the mag well. This will accept any G17/22/31/34/35 slide and will send a bullet into enemy’s body to pierce and destroy tissue as it would from any other Glock. But is not look good for people, it is “crude” and must be inferior?

First step to solution is to either get hard or to get wood, or just hard wood. That’s what Fred says. Also, once you get wal-nut, back you go not!

    gp_2

Wood can get shaped by hands or by mill, just enough to fit the frame.

    gp_3

Apply glue of choice and let dry. Then shape some more. The smaller hands you have, the harder you have to work.

    gp_4

Since metal parts are exposed, I decided to paint them with truck bed liner paint for truck beds to line them.

    gp_5

Is good paint, durable and strong. I wish it come in different black though, not shiny or not happy black, but more solemn or angry black colour.

    gp_6

As part of the build, few things were made custom to accomodate my freakishly big hands. Mag release was filed from scrap steel to make it useful again.

    gp_8

It comes out longer and stronger than ever.

    gp_9

Also slide catch needs to be bigger too.

    gp_7

Because stock slide catch spring could not handle the increased girth, I use a magnet to keep it down instead of spring.

    gp_10

Over breakfast I wanted to paint so called “Shelby racing stripe” over the pistol with Grey Poupon to make it “faster”, but changed my mind.

    gp_12

Cat prefers the look of G17 slide instead of G34.

    gp_13

I finally had to uglify this pistol with useless accessory: dust shield

    Now Igor demonstrate:

One cat was mostly ignored during making of this build.
