why is the rear sight directly where you would mount optics?

    • DougE

I suppose if you wanted to put optics on you could switch out to a plain top cover.

      • DW

The cover is hinged. Removing it won’t be easy for a non-gunsmith.

    • Drew

on most AK-style guns, the optic rail is usually mounted on the side and comes over the reciever above the magazine

  • DougE

Man, I really wish we could do SBRs in my state.

    • It’s isn’t an SBR. It’s a pistol.

      • Jeff Pederson

Dude, this is a grammatical head exploder.

      • Komrad

AK pistols are very common SBR projects. A lot are trivially easy. Some Rommy Dracos have underfolding trunions installed.

  • Mark

Wish they had the latch cutout for the folding stock on the receiver. I’ll likely buy one anyways if the Vityaz doesn’t go to market.

  • where can i get JUST the foregrip?

  • John

A milled receiver AK pistol? Seems like it would be a bit too heavy for me.

  • bozo connors

Huh… better hope it’s an awesome flashlight.

  • grumpy

I’m impressed by both the “Effective” and “Max” ranges listed

Add a folding stock and it would be a nifty home defense/pickup carbine. im confused as to why they would add a mounting rail if the sight is positioned directly in the way…

i would put a ultimak krink forward optic mount and a trijicon rmr
