Concealment pillow

There are lots and lots of random things at SHOT Show, and here’s one that I thought was novel. Let’s say you’re at home watching TV, and you like to have your pistol at the ready but in concealment. If grey, black, or beige match your couch, then take a look at the concealment pillow sold by the folks at The Glockstore.

A simple zipper opens up the pillow where you can store up to a large size pistol. There is a lot of padding which makes the pistol undetectable by anyone lying on it or manipulating it.

Pictured here are me along with GlockStore CEO Lenny Magill and his wife Tammy.

Lenny has made a lot of great instructional videos, many of which are available for free online.

  • I can just imagine someone putting a 1911 cocked and locked in that, then flopping down on the couch… followed by a visit to the emergency room.

Lots of professional shooting video producers are real characters but Lenny takes the top prize. He’s right out of an 80’s Miami Vice episode.

I have to admit I like the concept. Not ideal, of course, but better than not having a gun in the room. Especially for rooms with modern stylish decor (which usually means no drawers).

Too bad they are all cheesy two tone pillows. Single color tobacco brown or classic black would fit much better in most tastefully decorated rooms.

i bet there are ways to have your gun present in a room “withouth drawers” things like wall pockets and such. but the cost differential…

Hey, why is this pillow so heavy…. POW

  • Speaking of pillows…

If you shoot through the pillow at contact range with a 38acp, does the pillow become an unregistered silencer?

As someone who travels quite a bit, I like the concept. A lot! I can think of a whole pile of situations where this would come in handy for concealable transport / storage. While I agree with the comment about a pistol flopping around being dangerous, nothing a Raven Vanguard 2 can’t fix. And since I travel with that anyway, what the hell! My only complaint about this idea is why I didn’t think of it. It’s NOT cool. It’s NOT tactical(tshirts ;-). It’s not mil-spec. But some of the best ideas aren’t. –TTR

I have an idea where I would tuck my pistol, even if I had to feel around for it. (Sorry, good looking women do that to me).
