American Whitetail is a new line of hunting ammo from Hornady.  The line, as you might expect, is designed around hunting the popular whitetail deer in North America.

The lineup includes many popular hunting cartridges including .270, .308, .30-30 and .30-06 loads.  Hornady uses the tried-and-true InterLock SP bullets in this line.  MSRP runs from $29.11 to $38.33/box depending on the cartridge, with the 7mm Rem Mag and 300 Win Mag being the most expensive.

Hornady states the line features the most popular bullet weights at conventional velocities.  The company states they have used premium powders and cases.

The InterLock bullets use a band to “lock” the jacket to the core.  The result is a bullet will penetrate deeper without jacket separation, yet still achieve good expansion.
