Paper Beats Rock & Scissors

012

A couple of years ago I blogged about Tacome1942 and his amazing paper guns. He has not stopped making 1:1 replica paper guns and his newer creations can fire real cartridges. He loads cartridges with homemade primers and uses powered matchstick heads as gunpowder.

His paper 1911 firing a .45 ACP cartridge …

His paper rifle firing homemade .223 flechette rounds …

Don’t reload your own primers or use matchstick heads as gunpowder. It is very dangerous.

[ Many thanks to Jeremy & Victor for the tip. ]

    Fantastic stuff!

Human ingenuity is exactly why no gun ban will ever work.

  • Ray

And people say that gun bans work… Good job Tacome1942 for pretty much destroying that meme with paper.

    • nikonmikon

      How are gun bans memes?

      wtf…

      • Timothy T.

A meme is an idea. The common internet use of meme isn’t the correct way to use it. Ray used it in the correct way.

Breaking News: BATF pays rogue terrorist gunmaker a visit, paper NOW illegal in California, other states should follow because guns are evil and if you use guns, you hate the children.

    California legal paper?

Students would love california legal books, with no more that 10 pages pr book, and a tool to open it.

    • Nick Mew

At least I have a lot of paper/books to grandfather in.

      • Cymond

Just don’t expect to transfer those registered grandfathered books, at least not in California.

  • gunslinger

so…what’s the lifespan of one of those guns?

  • Lance

Very cool so much for gun control we can make our own guns lol.

Looks like there were some containers of oil or something in the background when he tested the sabot round. Not a good idea.
I remember when I was a kid and my brother was stuffing match heads into a used CO2 cartridge (making a crude bomb) and the heads ignited from the pressure. He wasn’t hurt, but I would love to have a video of his face when it happened. It’s pretty amazing we both still have all our fingers and eyes.

Used to use the empty CO2 cylinders, cannon fuse, and a book of match heads to make them into rockets, fired them out of an old steel pipe, as long as you don’t put too many match heads in they don’t blow up. Just be sure to have a pair of safety glasses on as the spray of match head remains upon firing is nasty.

well im glad that young man didnt put a paper mache “shoulder thing that goes up” on those evil guns……. its bad enough his parents let him make them…..

I’m not sure why you tell people not to reload primers or use match heads as powder. That stuff is right out the US Army’s Improvised Munitions field book.
