i just bought my second takedown for my girlfriend ……….. now i need to get this one T.T WHYY!!! WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!!!

  • Adam

I would like it more if the barrel/receiver was blued or camo’d. I’m not feeling the stainless/camo combo.

    • Anonymoose

It should come in FDE. :D

  • Hryan

I honestly just want the bag.

  • Tyler

Can someone tell me what specialty sports is and where they are located? A quick google search on my phone brings up skateboards.

  • Eric

It would be nice if they would list the price for the rifle and the matching BX25 mags on their blog/website, rather than having to call.

  • David/Sharpie

    That. Is. Awesome.

But I would rather ACU honestly.

    • Anonymoose

To each his own, I suppose, but UCP is trash, as is pretty much any kind of tigerstripe. Even M81 and 3-Color Desert are better than UCP (except for when the enemy has NVGs). Flecktarn, CADPAT/MARPAT, Multicam/MTP, and A-TACS are really where it’s at.

      • David/Sharpie

Eh, I like the look of it, I’m not an “operator” by any means so for me it would just be a cool looking pattern.

      • David/Sharpie

Plus I’ve got a plate carrier in ACU as well as a hydration backpack.

So like I said, it would just look cool.

Although I do have a MultiCam chest rig.

      • Anonymoose

Honestly I think Multicam is a bit too tacticool, which is why when I wear camo I usually go with Flecktarn or M81. The only thing I’ve ever personally seen UCP be good at is obscuring a soldier against a white-and-gray tile floor. :P

      • David/Sharpie

        Or a couch………

“Honestly I think Multicam is a bit too tacticool”

FINALLY! I thought I would be the only one thinking this while chilling in my M81. Way too much multicam commandos out there. Just got my first vest in olive drab and it seems to compliment my woodland pretty well.

  • gunslinger

looks nice. but i have a regular 10/22. maybe get a takedown at some point, but i don’t get it.

    good on them though

  • Rob

I’m really surprised that more companies haven’t picked up on Multicam. It’s even more shocking when you look at how rapidly the industry adopted the Zombie craze.
Umlaut Industries sells some of Magpul’s products finished in Crye’s Multicam… and I can’t think of any other Multicam polymer components off the top of my head.

    • MattInTheCouv

it’s cause you don’t have to pay Crye Precision royalties to make stuff zombie themed. but, as “MultiCam” is patented, both name and pattern, it increases the price.

  • Mike Knox

Wouldn’t it be cool if it’d come in transparent as well?

    • David/Sharpie

Actually that would be. I’d buy it.

      Or just the stock.

  • schizuki

Finally, I can plink with my .22 without revealing my position.

  • Fred

*sigh* I am guessing this is targeted (pun not intended) towards COD kidz getting their first firearm.

  • 032125

I like it; naysayers be damned. The original case was nice, but could have done without the big red logo. This is a perfect trunk rifle, and will likely bump that Mossy 930 back a few months.

As an aside; just as obnoxious as COD fanboys are the COD anti-fanboys. Not everything you don’t like can or should be dismissed as pubescent military gaming fantasy. I don’t play the game, but am pretty sure .22s don’t feature heavily in it.

    • David/Sharpie

Of course .22′s are featured in them, M4s/ACRs/SAWs etc.

      But those are centrefire .22s.

But no .22 LRs are not in any CoD games, as far as I know.

  • Garrett

    Why a stainless barrel on a multicam rifle..makes no f’n sense…

    • David/Sharpie

      Weather resistance?

      • MattInTheCouv

parts made of stainless can still be finished in something less ‘shiny’

  • Chad

Well love the Take Down. Own a US Team edition — Dad & I burned up over 1000 rnds out the box. Left the range with grins ear to ear.
Just wondering when other companies will get there own editions? OR a NRA edition made!

  • Mash68w

My buddy bought one from Specialty the other week during their Ruger sale. It shoots pretty good, i initially was hesitant about take downs but is shoots as well as any 10/22 ive shot. Debating getting either it or a stoeger coach gun for a range toy this weekend. And as for the finish i have a feeling that its aimed at getting us Soldiers stationed at Ft Carsons business

  • SadLefty

Ruger is going to make big bucks doing Distributor exclusives on this model. Can you hold out for that Lipseys or Talo edition that is inevitably on the way?

    Can you wait?

Can you only have one potato chip?

    Yeah.. that’s what I thought.

No will power, the whole lot of you!

  • ZombieKillaP229

If u dont like the stainless on camo, u can always paint it, thats what i plan to do. Hopefully i cn get it to match the rest of the body

  • http://cabelas joel

i’ve been reasearching it and it is one of the best survival guns of the year!
