I like it, looks like the pulse rifle from alien.

    • JonMac

If you want it to look like a pulse rifle, you need to bodge a SPAS12 shotgun foreend onto it.

  • Nadnerbus

With the direction AR hand guards have been going, it almost seems like an anachronism to have a fully railed hand guard.

Removable rail sections have been around for a good while now. I really don’t see a reason to mill out full rails on all sides of the stock when it is almost certain no one will ever use all of the space available. It adds weight, bulk and manufacturing cost to have so much “potential” to hang different things to your rifle.

I do have to say, though, that those rails are done quite nicely. They’re very low profile.

  • Trev

    So much unused rail space….

  • zack991

I like it, looks mean. lol

  • 15yroldgunman

Cool bet that g36 would look good all chrome coloured

    • tempest

Why stop halfway, at chrome, when you could go all the way and have it gold plated? That would make the G36 the greatest thing since sliced bread for warlords and drug kingpins all over the world.

  • Janis Petke

Now chrome the rest of it!

  • NI Shooter

Hey guys, NASA called. Yeah, they, uh, want their spacegun back… All jokes aside I really do like this, plus your handguard won’t melt anymore 😀 *waiting for H und K fanboys to thumb this down*

  • M41 Pulse Rifle is here!

  • Monty

Now just give us an aluminum receiver, stock and carrying handle. Seriously, make this gun out of steel or aluminium and you have one of the very best assault rifles in the world.

    • Esh325

If it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it. It would probably require significant redesign and cost to make it have a pure alloy receiver, which at that point would make it impractical. There’s always the AR18 for you which the G36 was based on.

      • It IS broke. The plastic used to bind the barrel the to receiver is a thermoplastic, during rapid fire is softens and causes the barrel to move, killing accuracy.

  • Falcon

One of the modernized g36’s with an adjustable stock, and the new Zeiss scope setup, slap one of these on it and make the plastic bits out of aluminum, and you’d have a hell of a gun.

  • إبليس

Is there anyway to slap it on an SL8? Y

  • Ian

My hands hurt just looking at it.

  • Lance

Why not make a semi auto G-36 for us to buy then.

    • DW

      They have: it’s called SL8

      • Lance

I was talking about a none neutterd version that LOOKS like a G-36 and is affordable.

      • David/Sharpie

No, thats a dressed up, neutured G36.

He’s talking about the true semi auto G36, that is currently built on a class 3 receiver.

      • cc19

Has anyone seen the price it takes to get an SL8 converted as close as possible to a G36? The cost easily exceeds $4,000 US pretty quick. The ironic part is I did however see an, “non-neutered,” HK licensed G36 at a local sporting goods shop… in Airsoft form. “HK. Because you suck. And we hate you.”

    • Esh325

I couldn’t tell you why SL8’s are so overpriced. G36’s cost LE’s in the USA about 950$

      • DW

I guess we all know the answer to that question…

      • Mike Knox

        Seriously? “Overpriced”? or taxed?

Basically one of the dumbest and most prevalent argument about H&K products..

  • Mike Knox

    Nice, but HK’s already got aluminum/magnesium quad-rail handguards for standard, K, and C G36s..

    • NI Shooter

Colt already has rail systems for their M4s, but other companies make those too

  • Avery

Looks a bit fragile, IMO. I bet it dissipates heat pretty well with all those extruded cuts.

  • gunfighter 2012

Buzz Lightyear, your rifle is ready.

  • Chase

They definitely paid attention to aesthetics and heat dissipation when they built this thing. I think it’s got too many rails, but it’s an impressively futuristic look.
