CZ 75 Parrot

The CZ 75 TS Czechmate Parrot definitely makes a statement, although I am not sure what that statement is, maybe “I love colorful Amazonian Parrots”?

The Google Translation of the Czech product description is pretty hilarious …

differs from the current design at first glance due to its colorful design and cock. The colorful accessories can be noted for example, three aluminum shoes (red), short thin grips (yellow / orange), tensioning lever (purple), release (red), more fitting to the C (blue) and a funnel tray (green).

The CZ 75 TS Czechmate series are designed for the IPSC Open Division. They are chambered in 9mm Luger, have a 20 round capacity and a 5″ barrel with a four chamber compensator mounted in front of the barrel. The pink rear sight on the above Parrot is just for show, or use in a dire emergency, as it does not have a front sight.

It’d be more colorful if the slide is purple and the sight is orange.

  • Pepe Cosetti

    That’s not a rear sight, it’s a “tensioning lever”, meaning a slide racker ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Mang

Yeah, and I think it’s purple.

  • Baker

Because really, who among us wouldn’t love to be equipped with a colorful cock?

    • hojo

      wait… you mean you’re not?

  • kapula

colorful design and cock – this should be translated as “colorful appearance and design hammer” ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Exoticbirdhunter

I think it’s name means it’s built to shoot parrots, and the style is to blend into the jungle when you’re hunting those tricky parrots. I hope they soon offer it in .50AE so I can have a CZ 75 TS Czechmate Toucan. Also I’ve seen many a cock and this is by far the most colorful one, I look forward to hunting in the amazon with this wonderful polish gun.

    • Andrew

Poland? I mean, you even wrote it in your post. *Czech*mate.

      • Exoticbirdhunter

It was a joke mate, a bit of satire if you will.

  • pete

On this note, I would like to see the CZ 97 Mandrill-Baboon edition which of course would be dark brown/grey for the slide and frame, with bright red and blue controls, grip, etc.

  • Matt in AZ

The pink piece is the slide operating protrusion I believe. The base pistol (CZ 75) racks right up there with the 1911 and P35 in terms of ergos and really is the finest pistols to come from the combloc. The colors are a bit loud, but I would bet the first ten or twenty rounds downrange would more than make up for it. And seriously, I could mute that parrot with some well placed rattle-can.

  • C3PO

You’d think they’d at least put one of the bright red C-more’s on that. Also, possibly inspired by this. . . http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2011/05/11/duracoat-taken-too-far/

  • Jeff

The funny thing is: I actually don’t mind a color scheme….. I guess its a gun only a CZ fan would love =P

    • fw226

If I could afford it, I guarantee you I would be ordering one.

  • lolinski

I think you misunderstand what CZ means with “cock” I assume you used a translating program to translate? Cause in slavic languages(Russian, Chechen Bosnian etc.) we use the same word for cock(male chicken) and hammer(the part that strikes the firing pin)

    • Chase

Makes sense. In French and English (which is about one-third French anyway), the first proto-flintlock mechanisms were called “snaphaunce” which meant rooster/cock/male chicken, because it reminded people of a rooster pecking at something.

    • Mรกtรฉ

Isn’t it like this in Englisg too?

  • Yup, Race guns are still ugly.
And I don’t mean the colors.

  • greasyjohn

I wish to register a complaint about this CZ-75 Parrot I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique…

    • Ah…. the norwegian blue.

    • Jeff Smith

      Hahahaha!

    • Michael

You owe me a new computer, spilt my coffe over it while laughing.

  • Gunny want a cracker?

  • DW

    CZ-75 “Angry Bird”
Well, at least it’s not some green, undead stuff.

  • HK93

What a pistol designed by Elton John would look like.

  • Komrad

The Czechmate has a removable front sight.

  • Victor

The only thing this gun speaks of its owner is: “I am high on LSD while handling firearms.”

  • Tom Stone

As long as it works every time and is accurate I’d be fine with this pistol. Unfortunately I live in Cali where you are only allowed to shoot ten people before reloading. And if I used it socially it might cause my opponent to break out laughing and give me that extra half second.

  • Mike

You guys miss the point. Black guns are evil therefore making them colorful makes them good guns.

    • Chase

I like the way you think. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Mike

Mike I think the real point is just to piss off Bloomberg.

  • Mike

Muzzle-brake should be Day-Glow orange to complete the look!

  • Bryan S.

I’d shoot it. Its a gun… pretty is only secondary. Bet it could knock down steel pretty quick.

  • Kyle

You think this is bad? Sig Sauer’s Rainbow Titanium finish, that is all.

  • Nick A

The pink “rear sight” is actually a slide racker.

    • Ian

Or as they’ve been known for about a hundred years, a charging handle.

  • Billy Bunter

Rooney guns are absurd. This item provides another data point.

  • NickB

What on earth are those grips made out of, playdough?

  • JR

Suitable for use by Japanese Manga models who have been using too many of those Mushrooms … JR.

  • rlp77

Love it! If I didn’t already have one, I’d want it.
