Does this mean these Hornady rounds might actually meet FBI penetration standards?
Hornady “are” recalling some lots of their .500 ammo? That is a British-ism. In America we say “is.” Hornady is recalling some lots of their .500 ammo. In Britain, I imagine citizens can’t even own a firearm that shoots .500.
So I checked what I had at home and I’ve got a few boxes from the affected lot numbers. I called the number (and verified it on hornady.com) and got “Your call has been answered by Avaya IP office….Betty… is not available. Please leave a message.” And that’s it. Nothing about it says Hornady or what I’m supposed to do.
First superformance ammo has excessive and inconsistent pressures/velocities, then the zombiemax debacle, and now this? Hornady, please get your house back in order! For now, I will stick to Black Hills, thank you.
Zombiemax debacle? I was unaware of any recall or anything like that, unless you just didn’t think it was that funny.
Not the “SHOCK AND AWE” scene I would want to happen if I touched off one of these bullets.
