From the press release ...

The SR40c is based on the same high-performance glass-filled nylon frame as those used on the popular SR9®, SR9c™ and SR40 pistols, offering the same, great ergonomic features, including a slim frame, short trigger reach, reversible backstrap, and ambidextrous controls. The SR40c features a through-hardened, stainless steel or alloy steel slide with Nitridox Pro Black finish. Serrations on the front portion of the slide make it easier to manipulate the slide and press check the chamber.

"The SR40c provides all of the benefits of a full-sized handgun without the recoil often associated with smaller .40 caliber pistols," said Mike Fifer, Ruger CEO. "The SR40c offers yet another strong concealed carry option from Ruger, perfect for personal protection or law enforcement plain clothes and backup applications," he continued.

@coyote: Dream the glorious dream, my friend. It’s looking like the only 10′s we’ll ever have are old Colts and S&W, the occasional 1911, and Euro semi’s (unless you got the deep pockets for a MP10).

Hey Ruger, how about a 10mm Auto in the SR series?
And how about a semi-auto rifle in 10mm Auto? Get one out now before Taurus beats you to it!

VERY happy about his. I am a big fan of the SR-series pistols, though I own none myself. I just got a friend into shooting and we looked at a lot of guns. He settled on the SR9 fullsize and we’re going out shooting it for the first time tomorrow. It’s great to see that Ruger is fully developing this platform in multiple sizes and calibers, I presume as an eventually replacement to the P-series pistols. Next up: SR45!

So in California it is OK to shoot 10 people before reloading not 16?
    Why why why?
