    @Jusuchin
    Clif bars. ‘Nuff said.

    I could see this becoming the heart of a contest on Zombie Squad or Arfcom.

    Nifty, but I’d like something with better cheek-weld

    I don’t see this being used for mags honestly. Although some slim jims or energy bars. Or the better parts of an MRE.

    That actually is a pretty clever idea, especially for a truck gun.

    I’ve always liked the magazine pouches that attack to stocks, I guess this is a step up. I’d buy one!

    I like the idea, and pehaps it could help balance the rifle, but i think there a quite a few other things much more deserving of being carried in such a compartment versus just another 20 rounds. Things like a fresh bolt and firing pin, replacement extractor, spring and insert, AR multi tool to help install them, carbon scraper, weapon oil, batteries, and such. I’d rather carry another 30 somewhere on my body than weigh down my rifle on the sling.

    But I suppose if youre a grab the gun and go type it could be beneficial.

    Interesting. The M4 buttstock is pretty lightweight when compared to the foreend, particularly if you’re lugging around an M203; the counterweight of 20 rounds might help with this.

    I built a working prototype that had the mag sliding out the back, and I was going to patent it until I saw the exact same thing on Brownells:

    Guess I should have started of thinking about ways to make it just slightly different, and something like this *would* have been it…

    Now my prototype sits on my wall of shame.

    Great idea!
    I just hope it comes with padding or that its tight enough to prevent the magazine to rattle.

    Neat stock. I’ll buy it if the price point is right. I still need to get Troy Battle AX stock too.
