What US State would be the best to open a manufacturing facility?

An employee of a well known gun company asked me which state would be the best to open a manufacturing facility. Because I am not an expert in this area I thought I would ask y'all to help.

Which state(s) do you think are best and why? Please sound off in the comments.

US Ambassador to Hungary goes to the range

The US Ambassador to Hungary, Eleni Tsakopoulos Kounalakis, recently attended a joint training session with the Hungarian Afghanistan OMLT (Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team) unit and the Ohio National Guard. She tried all of the available firearms including the AK-63F (Hungarian AKM), PKM machine gun, Glock 17, M4, and the Szep Sniper Rifle. Judging by the video, she seemed to be having a genuinely good time.

I had never seen or heard of the Szep Sniper Rifle before I saw the above photo of the Ambassador using it. The rifle was manufactured by Sero Ltd. It is similar in design to he Gepárd M1 line of anti-material rifles, having been designed by Ferenc Szép who participated in the development of the M1. It is used by the Hungarian Army and police.

Speer .22 WMR Personal Protection Ammunition

Speer has introduced a .22 Winchester Magnum cartridge optimized for use in short barrel self-defense pistols. From a 1.9" barrel the 40 grain bullet leaves the muzzle at 1150 fps, generating 99 ft/lbs of muzzle energy. It would likely perform better in longer barreled guns like the Kel-Tec PMR-30.

From comparison, the Speer Gold Dot Personal Protection .25 Auto is loaded with a 36 gr bullet which leaves a 2" barrel at 900 fps with 63 ft/lbs of energy.

The rounds of nickel coated to help feeding and extraction.

Speer says ...

These loads are designed for compact rimfire handguns and specific self defense applications. A large cavity ensures maximum expansion and terminal ballistics at reduced velocities. Consistent 10 to 11-inch penetration was achieved in factory testing--in barrels as short as two inches.

“We wanted to design a self defense option that catered to the rimfire platform,” said Brand Director Rick Stoeckel. “We engineered these rounds for effective expansion and consistent functioning in close-quarter situations--where performance is absolutely critical.”

A motel, a maid and a Garand

After spending the afternoon at a shooting match, Piccolo was cleaning his service rifle in a motel room when the maid walked in and chaos ensued ...

Then she spotted me and started to apologize until she saw the service rifle and then her eyes popped out of their sockets and she went agape and slowly backed out of the room. The instant she was out of the room, I was treated to the spectacle of watching her run down the hall babbling away in some strange foriegn tongue that I didn't recognize, but if I had to guess it was something like Tamel or Swahili or something rather third-world.
