Vacation Imminent, Need Guest Bloggers!

At the end of the month ol' Steve is going on a much needed vacation for a week. I would really like it if readers and fellow bloggers could help me out and contribute guest posts for The Firearm Blog to keep it running during the break.

I last opened up the blog for guest posts back in 2009 and, judging by the feedback I got, the guest authors found it a very rewarding experience.Posts do not need to be long, just a few paragraphs and some photos. If you want to write an essay, you are most welcome, but this is not necessary. If you run a blog, I will, of course, link back to you blog.

Make sure you email me with your idea before you write it. We only need 15 guest posts, so make sure you get me your idea fast!

The absolute deadline for the finished guest posts is 25 April.

Choose a subject you are passionate about. Some ideas are ...

  • Your favorite shooting sport.
  • Your favorite hunting / plinking / tactical rifle.
  • A review of a scope or other optic.
  • Your experiences with an interesting weapon in handled Iraq / Afghanistan.
  • An historical gun you own.
  • Any interesting gun you own.
  • A gunsmithing topic.
  • Any other Guns-Not-Politics ideas.

Topics that are not appropriate ...

  • A product produced by your employer
  • "Glock vs. 1911" / "AR-15 vs. AK" ... you get the idea!
  • Political (Remember 'Guns not politics')
  • Anything controversial that will require me to do a lot of comment moderation!

I can be contacted by email at thefirearmblog+steve@gmail.com

Thanks!

I’d love to be a guest blogger, I even have my first article ready to go – ‘The Does and Don’ts of owning a Taurus Judge’ – Step 1. Don’t.

Quickly followed with such uncontroversial topics as – ‘Why do old people like the 1911?’, ‘Crapping on your own doorstep – the story of Sig USA’ and ‘Pistol Bayonets: Which ones look best under Mall lighting?’

Just get in contact when you need some blogging gold Steve. ;)
