Why is it $1500? One can buy a Weatherby bolt action rifle cheaper than that.
I can never figure out why some of these AR-15′s costs soo much. Some of the gun magazines list them up to 2500 to 3000 depending on who makes them. They costs as much as a used car!
If they sold them with a Red Tiger “Camo” pattern I bet they would get a whole bunch of sales from the “gun nuts” who learn from Call of Duty in a few years.
But it looks SO COOL, right?
If I were to guess as to why all Remington ARs are camo, the mains reason wouldn’t be for hunting.
The need to separate themselves from every other AR out there. Camo is less scary than black, and once a guy owns a dumb camo AR he may be interested in getting another camo Rem product or a DPMS or Bushmaster black AR.
And, if push comes to shove on an AWB, they have a pretty good case for AR’s being a multi-use hunting long gun. This may be a decent move on Rem’s part.

“Camo is designed to catch the hunter, not the prey” – American wisdom
That said, I see nothing wrong with going for a camo gun simply because you find the pattern visually appealing. I, for one, really like the look of Realtree’s Max-4.
This is so ugly. It looks like a pattern for a couch. An abandon roadside piss soaked sofa.
So…it’s a marginal quality Bushmaster rifle that’s worth around $750, plus an $709 paint job. Fantastic. I’ll pass.
To be honest I’ve never understood the value of using camouflage in hunting…just seems like an invitation to die in a hunting accident.
