Oh ma gawd! I must have one.

  • Alan

So is “safe” Live or Undead?

  • jdun1911

And this is why you shouldn’t use “live” for safe. Whoever manufacture the AR receiver went full retard. The rollmarks should have been safe, whatever, whatever. Or better yet safe, fire, whatever.

    Anyway here another zombie lower:

I’m assuming that ‘Live’ is safety on and used in the context of ‘Live and Let Live’ and not as in ‘Live on stage’. However, it is confusing as it can also be construed as ‘Live fire’.

It’s a fun idea and we all love zombies, so it might have been better to go with ‘Friend’ (safe), ‘Undead’ (semi) and ‘Horde’ (full auto) – as ‘Dead’ doesn’t seem to be much of a threat.

  • will

pretty sure Mega has been making the Z.E.D.U. “zombie killer” lower receivers for a while. But this doesn’t appear to be quiet the same thing.

  • falnfenix

who makes this lower? I NEED IT OMG!

  • gunslinger

i think “live” would be “SAFE” because you don’t need to shoot live people. “dead” would be “semi-auto” because if it’s dead, it’s not moving and you just need 1 bullet to the head. “undead” would be “full-auto” because when zombies are coming after you, you want to throw as much lead because there are more zombies than you.

then again, i’m basing this off of the fact that the top position is semi, and the one closer to the barrel is safe and the one closer to the stock is auto, based on my ar

    • TIII

Right. Live people would never try to raid your place in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse

  • JKEverett

Expanding on Alan’s comment, I do believe they could have come up with some better terminology…although I’m not prepared to offer many suggestions, so I won’t hold too much against them.

    WTF DO I GET ONE!?!!

  • Mike L

    Where are they available?

  • Don

    Who makes that specific lower?

  • Axel

very cool, but hard to interpet…

  • Bryan S

Live = fire, Dead = safe, undead = only available to the protected classes or those who can afford to beg.

  • Matt

    Safe is live.

    I want that so hard.

  • Jason

Alan, zombies are classified as “undead.” I don’t now why they would use the term “dead” for semi fire, though. I might have use “infected” instead, and “living” or “alive” for safe. I’ve also probably put too much thought into this already.

  • zack991

    I so want it.

  • Hideous

LOL fantastic – who needs a safety at all when you have zombies in your front yard.
Remove the unneeded extra machinery completely I say a sunday lunch on the front porch mode – single shot first stage.
And the second important “full on auto panic mode” when you realise the toilet paper is still in the trunk of the car and its after dark – with a 120rd magazine , one handed and trousers down.

  • Justin Grigg

I’m pretty sure everyone who would own this would already have an AR, so they would know what position safety is. So I don’t think the stamp is really an important safety concern. Don’t over analyze it folks.

You don’t shoot live people, and you need a ton of bullets for undead people.

  • Metalchemist

I’ve seen one of these except the fire controls were marked,
    Live, Undead and OUTBREAK.
That and It had the BioHazzard symbol in red.

  • Alan

    “No zombies”
    “Zombie”
    “Lots o Zombies”

  • drunkensailor

I think you guys are over thinking his.

Undead -> zombies (and maybe vampires… small ones)
Live -> live targets, bad guys, republicans
Dead -> The ability to operate a modern paint program does not guarantee good sense. Why shoot dead people who aren’t zombies?

Oh, and Glocks and some other recent pistols have no traditional safety switch or button. Lots of dead soldiers and cops who spent their last few seconds trying to disengage a safety mechanism while terrified and/or seriously wounded.

Actually ‘dead’ by itself is a good enough word for zombies. Then you could have ‘live’, ‘dead’, and ‘mostly dead’

Dont worry I will protect you with the 4 I bought, until you learn how to operate your safety!
