The Full-Auto Templar Custom Broadsword in .50 Beowulf

0202

I mean’t to blog this a while back but somehow forgot. If you ever felt the need for a fully automatic rifle with the power of a .45-70, then The Broadsword (aka. Templar Custom Multi-Caliber System) in .50 Beowulf is the gun for you. Watch it in action here …

Lots more information about this unique gun at Bob’s Gun Counter.

Forget manstopper, this is a man-thrower-across-the-room-er.

I don’t even want to know what deserves a guy with .50 Beowulf going loud with full auto fire.

  • Jim

That looks overly powerful for the rifle it’s being fired out of. The recoil looks very difficult to manage.

  • Alan

Watch some of the other .50 beuwulf full auto clips. One guy looks pained.

If we ever outfit our military with power armor, I would probably expect this to be used eventually. XD

In before I get blasted for above comment about power armor, I’ve just reread Heinlein’s Starship Troopers and watched the much more true-to-the-story 1980s Anime. I’m kinda in a hyper mood.

I’m with Jim. That combination of caliber and platform just does NOT look practical/controllable for most people even in small bursts.

  • Jack

Who cares about practicality? I mean, I can’t imagine this gun was designed for anything but pure novelty, unless the guys at Templar live in a part of the world known for marauding robo-bears.

The first time I took my Beowulf to the range (no muzzle break, A2 stock, cheapo buffer/spring,) tears were rolling down my face after 2 mags. After quickly dedicating a more robustly equipped lower tho, it shoots like a 20 gauge at worst. I cannot fathom trying to shoot one full auto however…
