Anxious to see the SDP Compact. Curious as to why they call it a compact when mag capacity is 15.

I only hope KRISS does better than Sabre Defense in advertising! All the guys at the club where I shoot never heard of Sphinx. Name recognition goes a long way towards product endorsement. Even the posts above sound like they’d be just as happy with a CZ. I have a 9 and a .40 from the P2000 series and find the look, the workmanship, and their reliability top rate!

CZ is to Sphinx like Rock Island Armory is to Les Baer. Yeah, they both work. But there’s more time & attention that goes into one more than the other. And I know which I’d rather have!

Wasn’t Sabre Defence gonna import these a year or two ago? Any word on why that deal didn’t go through?

I believe that the Super-V’s issue was with a faulty extractor (correct me if I’m wrong) and they have recalled them to fix the issue if they FTE.

I think they even issued a free kit to those who bought them used and are no longer under warranty.

I’d have confidence buying these handguns from KRISS

The Sphinx pistols have been built for pretty much the last 10 years… Very hi-end CZ75 clones, not my cup of tea, i do prefer the original CZ75 for the feel and the pricetag.

The Sphinx pistols are built for very hot ammo – usually you need to brake them in with +P+ ammo for them to function properly. That is due to hot 9mm loads being the main ammo for most of the LEOs and military in Europe.

The “tactical” versions of the Sphinx 2000 and 3000 are in use with a few units int Europe. Most police services tend to stay with the original CZ due to purchase and running costs.

If they aren’t going to be compatible with Glock mags like the Super V, it’s just another CZ 75 clone. That’s even less exciting than a new 1911.

It looks a lot like some of the modern offerings from Beretta.

Anyone have any info of the internals for this thing?
