snmp: I don’t mean in terms of getting it mounted. We had issues with 5.56mm ACOGs zeroing to M14s awhile back; they weren’t ballistically calibrated for 7.62 and it was just impossible to get a decent zero.
As neither 7.62 NATO or 5.56 share ballistics with 7.62×39, I really wonder just how good the zeroes are.

@Caleb
I speak about the rail hanguard & the stock in photo. The UTG-leapersl is cheap and work well for a light & foregrip
I watched feed of these guys doing ops while I was in Basrah, they are amazing professionals.
Huh, didn’t know you could get an ACOG to zero to an AK.
Re: snmp
Ew and double ew.
If you’re going to mod out the AK, at least they should be using higher quality parts.
There are several better options for both an AR-style stock and forward rails. Ultimak, Krebs, and Midwest Industries all come to mind.
Those almost look good. But then the picture is a bit fuzzy.
They look nice I know the US government bought the NC Star and UTG accessories for the Iraqi Police. Most of Iraqis AKs are made in Russia and Romania some East German AKs where exported but may be out of service due to the fact there old and worn out. Iraq’s main enemy Iran has adopted and now making there own AK the Chinese Type 56 rifle (the SKS may be in use too) to supplement there aging G-3A6s in use since the Shah left.
I don’t think they’re Tacti-cool if the people using them are actually going to engage in tactical operations…
- UTG/leapers handguard (made in china)
- Tapco M4 style stock for AK
For the AK : AKM, MPi AKM-K & MPi-KMS-72 (Est German short version of the AKM)
Wow, they make the AK look great. I’d like to know what all they have attached!
