I think it’s great that the FBI is giving their guys such great gear. The FBI is a law enforcement agency and they deserve nothing but the best tactical equipment. Thanks for posting!

THE GLOCK 23 MUZZLE FILP IS AS HARD AS A G27. FINDING THE FRONT SIGHT TAKES LONGER FOR FOLLOW UP SHOTS. UNLESS YOU HIT YOUR SINGLE SUBJECT IN THE O.C.VAULT WITH YOUR FIRST SHOT, FOLLOW UP SHOTS WILL BE NEEDED. YOU DO THE MATH, G22 VS. G23. I’LL TAKE THE G22 EVERY TIME IF I’M UPAGAINST PEOPLE WHO WANT TO FIRE SHOTS AT ME. I WILL SACRIFICE SIZE, AND WEIGHT FOR FAST ACCURATE HITS.
A FULL SIGHT RADIUS IS IMPORTANT IN MAKING A PERCISE SHOT OVER ANY REAL DISTANCE. THIS IS FACT.

FBI agents are predominantly investigators; it’s not strictly their job to be engaging in high-speed chases and shootouts. The arrests they do make are likely to be extremely dangerous people (serial killers, terrorists, etc) who have broken federal laws; for that, they have the regional office SWAT teams or the HRT.

A compact pistol makes alot more sense as a duty weapon for somebody in law enforcement is investigation than a full-size pistol does.

It really depends on the shooter.

Don’t forget that the majority of FBI agents are not uniformed, so in that case the compact 23 makes more sense.

The 23 is good for a backup but aint a G22 better for a duty weapon?
