On gun blogging …

When I started this blog I had no idea how large and varied the industry was. I struggle, and fail, to keep up with the sheer amount of innovation and new products that the firearms industry produces.

I am not complaining, it is an exciting industry to be blogging about.

Well, being in the ‘professional’ writing community, i can say i’m with you on that one. Innovations are sometimes hard to follow (good thing i’m a tech guy), but that is an exciting industry.
The cleverness of the guys bringing new designs never ceases to amaze me.

Considering that most of the ‘new’ products aren’t new, I wouldn’t stress about it Steve. Look at your top posts – AKs, piston ARs, 1911s and revolvers.

Considering that this is the best gun blog on the Google Tubes, your main concern should be sorting the wheat from the chaff and only reporting on the new products that you find interesting and innovative.

In conclusion: you’re doing a great job, don’t worry about reporting on every single product that comes out, reign in your OCD and keep on trucking amigo.

I turned up your blog about a year ago while randomly surfing gun related topics. I find your site a great read each day, always turning up something new and interesting and showing me something, most of the time, I hadn’t known about…in relation to firearms.

Good job. I’m sure whichever direction you take your blog will be a good one. Stay on target.

As long as there’s something new to read everyday (or so, we won’t be mad at you for going on holidays once in a while), I am happy.

Also you know we won’t get tired of arguing about pistonVsDI or 1911Vsglocks or whatever the hell is the new flavour of the month.

YOU are the best at this never get discouraged. Just keep the peace here!

Hey Steve have you ever thought about getting some volunter to receive emails and post stuff on the blog

    • Peter, I have to do the emails myself, which is a **major** job. People do write guest blogs posts. I will be posting one next week.

You’re not only keeping up with the US industry, but the whole world! It makes me appreciate what I have now. High five for my favorite blog!

Keep up the good work Steve, I wish I knew how you do it. This blog keeps me up to date on all kinds of things I never would have known about otherwise.
