Disclosure: Remington is now advertising on The Firearm Blog

The Freedom Group is now using my blog to advertise Remington products. This will not effect my coverage of The Freedom Group or their competitors. I cover all firearms manufacturers with equal enthusiasm.

The Freedom Group

It is great to have the biggest player in the industry seeing value in my blog.

UPDATE: I have gotten messages from people concerned that I will ban all comments criticizing Remington or I will refuse to write anything critical. I can assure you that my editorial policy has not changed. The Freedom Group purchased ad space, not my integrity.

    I’m confident Steve’s style/writing/objectivity will not change….

The blog is what it is: good enough to attract many passionate firearm owners who visit regularly.

If Steve would somehow change any of the aforementioned due to advertising, said passionate firearm owners/blog readers would leave site.

    And so would Remington.

This is all stating the overly-obvious, of course. All Steve has to do is be himself and the rest will take care of itself. Except now he’s been rewarded with a little coin. Good job!

Congrats on the recognition! Now if you made this place a subscription only servcie I’d be very displeased.

Because I’m a lazy gun-otaku and I don’t wanna do effort when catching up on the most recent things in the firearms world.

    Congratulations, Steve!

This is a very positive recognition of your hard work and I hope other gunmakers will follow in Remington’s footsteps. Hopefully, this association will also be a positive way for Remington to get feedback on their products and for them to talk to potential buyers about changes / improvements that they make in their product line.

Best of all, I see a lot of breaking news here – now that Marlin and Dakota are a part of the Remington stable, the future looks even better!

Brad, you can say what you like (within reason) in the comments, but I have always been slightly-pro-ACR. Mostly because I never believed the low-price point that they kept preaching about. So when the price was announced it was exactly what I expected. Just about everyone else was incredibly disappointed.
