I am going to SHOT SHOW 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very excited to announce that I changed my mind and will be attending SHOT Show after all!

At the beginning of this year I brought y’all great coverage of the show, despite not being there, and I hope to do an ever better job next month.

Lucky such and such! Some day I’ll get to go…

    (on another note: “great overage”?)

    • http://www.thefirearmblog.com Steve

Fred, thanks. I have fixed up the spelling and grammer.

  • Fred

It happens, especially early in the morning. I get to go to bed in 2 hours!
Seriously though, I hope you’ve got a good camera ready with lots of memory.

  • http://crypticsubterranean.blogspot.com/ Jay.Mac

You lucky devil! Really looking forward to seeing your take on the show.

  • War Wolf

Buy a netbook, a good camera and make sure you live-blog the event. When exactly is it, and where?

  • D.Coleman

    War Wolf,
The show is the third week of January in Vegas.

It’ll be fun. I’m looking forward to the trip. I went for the first time last year, and it’s like a bizarre and fascinating toyland for firearms. Just mind your camera. Technically they’re against the rules, but I’ve never seen the rule enforced.

Good. Objective coverage will be nice.

  • Vak

Well, I guess I won’t be able to go to SHOT show 2010, but I’ll surely go to SHOT 2011.

    Please, report EVERYTHING !

  • ericire12

I really look forward to your coverage of the event

  • D

Maybe I’ll run into you there… Look for a guy with a Nikon D700, a Macbook Pro, and an Oakley dark urban camo book bag haha. If you need some high quality/high res shots, shoot me an email and I’d be happy to meet up with you and share the photos.

    A helmet-cam could be good. :)

Good for you. Hope to meet you at the show. Perhaps we can “exchange notes”. Try to make it early for the Media Day at the Range. Details here: http://www.media-day.com/

I’ll be staying at Harrah’s. Let’s try to connect at some point.

  • XxleoxX

    how much to get in?

  • http://www.EverydayNoDaysOff.com Mike

Great to hear! You should wear a large hat with an HD camera hidden in it, and stream LIVE hahah

    • http://www.thefirearmblog.com Steve

      Mike, LOL

  • JGS

I too would like to know when and where, and can just anyone attend (open to public)?

    • http://www.thefirearmblog.com Steve

JGS, technically only industry. If you really want to go, ask your local gun shop if they can get you in.

  • KP

    yaaaaay *clap clap clap*

  • http://www.predatorwild.com Heath

    That’s going to be fun!

  • Lance

Dont forget to get pics of a H&K 416 IAR there. And buy a 416 too.

  • http://www.thefirearmblog.com Steve

    Clark, lol, it could be!

  • http://www.msn.com Ermac

    Good for you man.

  • jdun1911

Bring good walking shoes and a lot of money if you want to buy vendor products after the show end. They sale it at a deep discount because they don’t want to take it back with them.

  • Titleist

I’ll be there running my fancy new Canon 5DmkII on behalf of TFB. A promise of great photos for those who can’t make it in person are a guarantee.

  • yamalink

Went to SHOT in 2008. Crazy great time!

  • Mcain

Please be sure to check out Remington if they happen to be showing their new 1911 (though I’m not sure if it’s in the showing stage). Have fun!

Looking forward to seeing you here and out in Vegas! The most important item is comfy shoes. These are more vital than pants at SHOT.

    • http://www.thefirearmblog.com Steve

Ed, if I forget my pants I will refer the show security to your comment.

  • Himmel

Great! Looking forward to your reports 😉

  • Beaumont

    Ed….please wear pants.

  • mort

Ed, try to get some pictures of the pile of a.r.m.s mounts at the LaRue booth.

  • http://www.annieoakleyshoots.blogspot.com Annie Oakley

I am going to and am just about as excited as you are. What a great way to start 2010.

  • http://noairsoftforoldmen.blogspot.com/ Tim

Have fun in LV, it’s a ton of walking that’s for sure.
Stop by booth 25501 in the LE section and say Hi.
This is my 24th SHOT show so I will be the old man with the gray beard, unless some “Just for Men” has any thing to say about it!
