Stein, comment deleted because it violates the comment policy.

I turned down dealer price lists many times at SHOT. I don’t want to know it. If know it them I am inclined to blog it. A Glock on the other hand is pretty much a commodity. We are in the information age, and if Glock or any dealer expected to keep the pricing secret, they were deluding themselves.

And by the way, the US economy is in the dumps because it has strayed away from the free market towards a government-planned economy.

Way to miss the point Stein. Nobody has claimed it is a right to know dealer info.

The point is that a seller should be as open towards his customers as possible. Transparency=good secrecy=bad. It’s a competition thing.

The customer is the sellers friend, not his enemy. I’d be very wary about purchasing from a dealer that has a hissy fit about some leaked prices. What else is he hiding from me?

Excellent leakage Steve and everyone else involved! It is very annoying when manufacturers and dealers try to keep things hidden from their customers.

Is the Gen 4 going to replace the Gen 3 altogether?

The mag release is not ambidextrous, it is switchable. On the Gen 3 there is an ambi release available as an option. Whether that will be available on the gen 4 I don’t know.

What are the retail prices for the FGR Glocks, for a comparison? The “street price” is around $500, but I know the retail price is higher.

What I find interesting is that it includes a disassembly tool. This would indicate to me that internal differences do exist. The removable back strap is interesting as well.

What will this do to prices on previous generation Glocks? I’ve had my eye on a G36 and I’d like it to be cheaper. :D
