Crabula, you're not crazy. The XCR's ejection is very powerful, but it's adjustable with the variable gas system. 8 - 10 feet means the gun is properly gassed, but it can launch brass 30 feet if you dial it up to the maximum

Does it seem like it threw a few of those shell casings pretty far or am I crazy?
Watch the video at approximately 50 and 1:40 in the video. You can see where they splash down in the water.
Its probably not that important, just one of the first things I noticed. Anyone have any input?

It's more like a modernized FNC, Vitor. The lower receivers are practically interchangeable.

I wonder how well this would work when transporting the rifle for longer periods submerged.

How does this work, is the idea to keep the water out of the barrel in the first place or to have it drain quickly? I can't imagine any rifle-length barrel would survive firing when completely water-filled.

No gloves, mask...the guy really trust his weapon! Well, since it's basically a modernized AK, I guess must of us expected to deal well with being wet, but still impressive how they just do it.

If I was the dictator of a small, third-world country (and some day I will be!!!) then my presidential guard would carry XCRs, cause I like 'em.

Notice how the first round is sometimes noticeably louder than the following shots. That's because water in the barrel can dramatically, even catastrophically increase your pressure. I know military guys sometimes have to do this, but I don't recommend it. Dump the water first!
