Re: the reduced recoil, they claimed it was due to moving the recoil mechanism sitting above the barrel, down closer to the barrel (I guess a bit like lowering the center of gravity) and a shortening of it to reduce the imbalance caused by the moving parts - their theory being it resulted in a more controllable gun. I did not/could not try it so can't vouch for it so, until it is settled on Youtube, we wait for proof ;-)

It looks like a cheap attempt at modernization (G36) in a poorly made version of a Galil. Typical of what a bunch of bean counters and desk commandos would come up with. I pity anybody who would actually have to go into a fire fight with that POS.

Is it that hard to make a basic combat rifle, especially in such a weak cartridge? You might as well just make AK's, I have seen people make them in their homes.

Just a waste of time and money by these companies and Governments.

I imagine that it's low recoil by simple virtue of being 5.56x45mm and 4kg.

Still looks too cheap and weak. Plastic body cheasy butstock and carry handel breaks too easiliy. Stick with a standerd issue R-4 thats made of metal.

No wonder no one has bought the gun.

Is that a copy of the Smith's Vortex or did they buy it from them?

I find it interesting that the carrying handle is placed in a way to force optic to mount in the rear (or front), away from the charging handle. It solve the problem of the optic getting in the way of the charging handle.

The "twisted" flash suppressor on the old version may have been an attempt to prevent the wire from slipping out when using it as a makeshift wire cutter.

Anyway, I really dig the design. Looks like a rugged, economical, no-nonsense rifle.

What's the deal with all these carry handles on rifles? Do the manufacturers actually think somebody uses them?

Based on the safety and magazines they're using, I wonder how internally similar it is to a galil/r4.
