I watched several times and timed with a stopwatch to get a hang time of about 6.3 seconds. Doing some calculating (and disregarding air resistance) gives it a maximum height of approximately 159 feet and initial (and the same when it hits the ground) velocity of 101 fps (69 mph). Imagine that landing on top of your car if you parked too close! That was interesting. I watched several times and timed with a stopwatch to get a hang time of about 6.3 seconds. The guy had just turned to run away from the fuse when the thing blew. He was caught up in the smoke and gas from the powder, which probably didn't do him much harm, but the anvil went flying just like it was supposed to.
