for once, i agree with lance ;) i cant justify spending that kind of money for a 5.56mm rifle, though i possibly could for one in 6.5 grendel. Yes, the Grendel is superior to the 5.56 and 7.62 NATO and bridges the gap between the two rounds. Im sure the ACR is a wonderful rifle. Bring the price down to 2000 and ill think about it.

Let us see if they can pull this off within a reasonable financial window. I'd love one, but money IS an issue for some of us.

The Magpul Masada was demoed with AK style magwells.

I've seen nothing like that for the Bushmaster/Remington ACR. 7.62x39mm will feed from modified M-16 magazines however, like the C-Products magazines.

AK mags will have to have a different lower as they are a paddle release mag and opposed to a side release style on the M-16 magazine.

If you want to look to allterative to a 5.56 M-4/M-16 and want a bigger bang asnd not goto a M-14 or M-110. I think the 6.5 ACR is a grat weapon. I can say in my opion that 6.5 grendell is a better round than 5.56mm and could come close to 7.62 NATO w/o the recoil some whips hate.

Love the cartridge swappy-ness of it. Does anyone know what they'll do about magazines - will the standard AK mag fit in the receiver or will it all be proprietary stuff?

I look forward to seeing what the new 6.5 cartridge will be. If it can compete with the Grendel and ammo and reloading components made available it'll make the Grendel folks nervous. I really like the 6.5 bullet and might consider the new cartridge for a build on a new Black Rain Ordnance billet upper and lower I just picked up.
