A loaded chamber indicator is only useful if the person looking at it understands what it means. Everyone else seems to have assumed that the owner/operator will be the only person who gets ahold of this thing. Arguably, possibly, some idiot may find this in a desk drawer, under the couch, in a glove compartment, etc. In those cases, labeling that funny little thing that's sticking up may inform the idiot that the gun is loaded. Personally, the only safety I trust is a visually inspected empty chamber. Anything less can malfunction and fail. However, not everyone knows about guns. I have to play devil’s advocate on the loaded chamber indicator.
