I dropped about $500 on ammo and rentals, and came out later that day with ears ringing, stinking of gunsmoke, sprayed with warm oil and happy as a dead pig in the sunshine. Most fun you can have in Vegas with your clothes on! +1 on the Gun Store. If you're new to general shooting or have little or no experience in full auto, you need to watch your muzzle. I've seen people that have no muzzle control at all semi or full. All you have to look is the ceiling and side walls at gun ranges. People have killed themselves or others because they lost control of the gun. Before putting your firearm in fun mode make sure you know the recoil impulse of the weapon. Shoot some rounds in semi-auto. American Shooter’s has an M249 SAW, a Thompson SMG, and even a KRISS SMG among other full auto toys for rent ;-) Of course, there’s quite a few handguns and semi-auto rifles, too.

Maybe an ID, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even ask for that. I also wouldn't be surprised if they asked you to sign a liability waiver, but I doubt you'd have to do more than that. The law doesn't require paperwork unless you intend to take actual possession of the gun - i.e. buy it. So long as you aren't a felon, you can borrow/rent to your heart's content without even so much as having to flash a driver's license. The only caveat is full auto firearms; the owner is required to be present, but otherwise it's the same. Also, bring lots of money - shooting full auto isn't cheap.

No paperwork. Maybe an ID, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t even ask for that.
