Is this even legal to own? It is a fully automatic weapon right? Would a semi-auto version have to be purchased be civilians (non-military)? However, I have no doubt that it will be the gun that our future troops will be equiped with. It is extremely efficient and is very customizable and adaptable. I look forward to seeing this come out. It is easily one of my favorite designs for a rifle.

SCAR-16 going for about 3k on Gunbroker. But it has the sex appeal: can you spell "U-S-A-S-O-C"? More competition is good in this arena I think. Good luck to Bushmaster/Remington. Hope it makes it to market. Looks interesting. Market has a decent number of piston-driven 5.56 entrants already, and you can add a lot of similar doodads to them.

The Kel-Tec RFB was announced as being $3000, and it's MSRP is $1880. I've seen them on Gun Broker for $5000, but that's not Kel-Tec's fault.

The Massada/ACR isn't gonna get built until Cerberus is good and ready to build it.

For that kind of money I rather go with a good FAL or M14. It is too much for a plastic rifle.

...Except $1,500 becomes $4,000. The Kel Tec RFB comes to mind.

This at least matches up with the late 2009 estimate that Bushmaster gave out toward the end of last year, anyway.
