That's bad. For example, they will show advertisements for Moveon.org, but not for the NRA. Now if you do a search on something very specific, they won't block that, because you'll notice. But if they also include things they know you aren't searching for, and bump it up to a higher point on the results, it's more likely that you'll see it. This is an attempt to influence the way you think. "Gee, I didn't know there were so many children killed by gun violence." Not because it make them money, but because it supports their philosophy. I support search engines whose philosophy is to provide a service that makes money, and nothing else. I'm trying to keep this non-political in the spirit of this blog. I post my political stuff elsewhere. So I'll just say this: Google sucks. @ Heath:

But this is a good tool for Journalists who don't know the difference between their ass and the muzzle. Problem is, Journalists don't use Google either.
