Matt you sound like a whiner! Ya know, contrary to what you and others think, there are a lot of heroes out there who are not American, and freedom and liberty are not uniquely American ideas, they were brought here by "foreigners". To me, a hero is selfless, they lay down their lives for what they believe, and usually that is an ideal bigger than themselves, a population that is being oppressed, freedom, liberty, etc. you may not think EZ is a hero, I don't think REL is one. EZ still stands for something, and still inspires.

I was so excited when I saw this. My friend is Rich Zapata a direct decendant of Emiliano Zapata. And he has told me amazing stories about this revolutionary. He is trying to save up to buy this beautiful revolver. It doesn't matter if it was not our American history because it is like our own history in the birth of the nation. He refused to have someone take his freedom away from him without a fight. I think anyone wondering why they have made a revolver commemmerating this man should look into the history of him. It's a great story that everyone should hear at least once."It is better to die on your feet, than live on your knees!" -Emiliano Zapata

Matt, Those are all fine ideas. Ethan Allen is a particularly good choice (yet a big ugly Yankee!) We will work on them. There are some other all American heroes in the works as well. This EZ Vaquero grew out of a study of Mexican American history and the decoration seemed to lend itself to the project. Robert E Lee has very solid credentials as an American hero.
At the recent NRA meeting in Phoenix, we sold the prototype of a Stainless EZ Vaquero and donated the proceeds to the USA Shooting Team. TALO thinks the hard work of those young Olympic shooters is worth supporting. Much of the money needed for their training is raised privately. The team is really shooting well. – The USA Shooting team won four medals at the ISSF World Cup in Munich, Germany in the past two days with Josh Richmond taking home the gold in Men’s Double Trap, while Matt Emmons and Michael McPhail claimed the silver and bronze respectively in Men’s 50m Prone Rifle. Keith Sanderson grabbed the bronze in Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol.

So far ,TALO Distributors, their stocking dealers and their loyal collectors have raised over $340,000 for the USA Shooting Team.

Thanks for your comment Matt. We'll keep working on good ol USA issues.

I'm gonna buy one to go with my Ruger No.1 Daniel Boone Commemorative, my Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys commemorative Vaqueros, and my Robert E. Lee Old Model Army.

Oh, wait. They never made any of those?

I guess I won't be buying any Rugers that commemorate foreign heroes either then.

And yes. I think Robert E. Lee was a hero. Screw you yankees!
