I own three Ruger 10 22's they are all very unique in thier own special way, however when I saw my TALO French Walnut Stock in my favorite gun shop, I purchased it that very moment. Someone had ask for it before me but for some reason backed out,(possibly price), however I did not care about price, I gave $450 for it and would have given more. Let me say this, we all know that Rugers are top of the line, BUT this model is the elite, 22. When you hold it, the sharp etching work on the stock stands out right away, Heck, I have got expensive tobacco pipes that don't have the wood grain like this thing. To wrap this up, my TALO is in my case, and only comes out for inspection to my close friends, I don't intend to fire it, let my grandchildren do that at some point. Does this tell you what I think of it???I hope you print this because I think a lot of 22 owners would enjoy this weapon, if they know they could order one. Thanks George.

Hey Mr. John Myers, I believe I am the one who bought it from you :)
I love it, beautiful stock.
Has taken many pigeons, squirrels and various other birds.

I payed a total of $430 I believe with shipping and such.
It was my first gun, and I wanted something special compared to other peoples .22lr's.
It has done the job :)
I have a nice Barska 3-9x40 on it and it shoots very well.
I do love the Iron sights on this thing though! the unique diamond and gold bead design makes lining up shots very nice.
I had no problems with accuracy.
My dad took the lid off a gatorade bottle at about 30 yards.
And I'm talking dead center of the top of the bottle, right between the cap and the seal ring.
Could not have been a better shot, it went right where he aimed it.

The only change I would prefer would be to eliminate the matte finish on the metal and return to polished blue. I think so doing would be more appropriate for a gun like this. I found one for $399.00 that has the French Walnut stock.

Caucasian walnut can look even better, but no rifle looks like another one.
You can get a good-looking or a terrible stock - it's really a choice to be made in the store (unless you buy one of the "one in a thousand" selected guns, which are usually excessively expensive..
